iPhoniacs did a review of a much needed search utility for the iPhone with basic installation instructions. I wish Apple had put a Searchlight style 'Search Lite' (erm..) on the iPhone to begin with. Still the latest version of this app allows you to search contacts and calendar entries. Simon suggested Notes & Email also which seems good to me..
