O2 has launched its iPhone 3G upgrade offer for existing customers, who can order the new model online from the carrier’s website as of 8am today.

O2 sends out pre-order info to all UK O2 iPhone owners, and the order site gets taken down within minutes of going live.

After a frustrating two hours attempting to upgrade, getting so far then failure we are begging O2 to let current iPhone customers upgrade in store. O2 today launched preregistration for iPhone 3G. If you register on the website they say "Initial successful orders will be delivered by courier on the 11th of July"!
