Adobe If you haven’t already heard, Adobe has launched an ad campaign against Apple (who hasn’t!) in retaliation to the fact that Apple doesn’t allow flash on any of the iDevices (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad). Normally I don’t write about this kind of thing but, someone created “Apple’s” response to Adobe’s ‘We ? Apple’ campaign and I thought it was funny… ok, I totally laughed out loud when I saw it.

Below are both Adobe’s campaign and “Apple’s” response found over on issaco’s twitter.

With the HTC Desire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 currently trouncing the competition in the smartphone arena and firmly establishing Google’s operating system as a major player, Android users don’t really need any more excuses to lord it over rival operating systems. But they’re going to get one that will resonate particularly with iPhone users for all the wrong reasons. That’s right, Flash is 10.1 is coming to Android and slated for full release in the second half of 2010.

Currently in private Beta and being thoroughly tested by a select group of developers, the public Beta test is not to far off and will let anyone with an Android device get in on the action. For the uninitiated, Flash content enhances your online experience with various in browser additions from simply adding advertising material through to embedded video streaming content and in-browser flash games. And with Flash 10.1 currently in testing with key developers, we hopefully shouldn’t have to wait too long till we’re enjoying the world wide web to its fullest.

In other Flash related news, Adobe (the company behind the software) CEO Shantanu Narayen has confirmed that in addition to Android, Flash 10.1 will also be hitting Palm’s WebOS platform and BlackBerry OS in the second half of the year. The conspicuous absentees from this list are Apple and Microsoft. No word on whether Windows Phone 7 will support Flash content but we won’t be holding our breaths for Flash on the iPhone any time soon.
