Here’s what you need to do:
1. Download the new Ovi Maps application from nokia.com/maps to your PC
2. Install the application using Ovi Suite to your device
3. Go to applications folder and start using Ovi Maps
Simple (or ‘Simples’ if you’re a fan of a certain, rather annoying, television advert) has also issued a note to users that; ‘if users do not install the new Ovi Maps application, they will be prompted to pay the one year navigation license of 9.99 EUR if they start using the drive and walk navigation feature.’
Nokia have also said that users can access the Ovi Suite and install the latest country maps onto their devices to enjoy offline map browsing as well as the free navigation. However, due to some technical difficulties involved, it was not possible for the premium content such as guide Michelin and Lonely Planet to be made available.
The update can be found at and will also be available in the Ovi Store in the not so distant future.
