Archives for iPhone OS 4 category

Less than a week after our look ahead at what the future holds for the iPhone, Apple have announced a special event taking place on the 8th of April to show off the new iPhone OS 4.0! Clear proof that Steve Jobs reads the Mobiles Blog i think you’ll agree.

Yes, Apple have followed up on the hugely successful US launch of the iPad by naming the date we’ll get our first sneak peek at the updated iPhone OS. Mirroring the official unveiling of the iPad earlier in the year, the news broke in the form of invites sent out to press inviting them to an iPhone OS 4 event on the 8th of April, just two short days away!

Sadly, our invite must have been lost in the post but thankfully the guys over at Engadget were on hand and have posted the invite online which simply reads “Get a sneak peek into the future of iPhone OS”. We’ll be all over the event to keep you up to date on the breaking news as it happens. But until then, we’re left to ponder. What will iPhone OS 4.0 bring to the table? Multi-tasking? Interactive Widgets? And more importantly, could we see iPhone OS 4 running on the new iPhone HD/ 4G/ ??? All will be revealed on Thursday, be sure to check back on the Blog for all the details.
